Long life- A LED light life can span from 500,000 hours up to 100,000 hours, compared with 8,000 hours for compact fluorescent and 1,000 hours for an incandescent. And LED life is not affected by on/off operation, but the traditional light life is.
Cooler operation- LED lights run cool, thus, they’re much safer to use than fragile, burning hot halogen and incandescent ones and incandescent lights. Because incandescent bulbs generate light by heating a filament, they also heat the lenses they illuminate, which causes discoloration and eventual melting of the control panel lenses.
